Kristin Fisher has joined CNN on 20 July 2021 as Space and Defense Correspondent. As the Space and Defence Correspondent at CNN, she is responsible for covering all aspects of space, from NASA and its newly created Space Force up until commercial space-related companies and the advent and growth in space travel. Kristin was mother of NASA astronauts as well as a space enthusiast has spent her entire childhood within the space industry. She worked for five years in the position of White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy in the Biden and Trump administrations. During that time she also reported on two presidential impeachment trials, the 2020 presdiential campaign, as well as two attempts by the administration to stop the pandemic of coronavirus. Former president Donald Trump traveled to Afghanistan for a restricted trip. Prior to joining the network in the year 2015, Kristin spent nearly a 10 years working her way up through local TV news markets which included Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she won an Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the Washington, D.C.'s CBS affiliate. Kristin's skills as a camerawoman led her to found Field Mouse Films which specialized in making documentaries for clients of corporate nature, like Uber Hotels and Resorts as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin has a bachelor's degree of journalism at Boston University. The place she lives is Washington, D.C., with her entire family, which includes their daughter, who is three years old.
